The Smart Generosity way to give
Give by credit card to any U.S. 501(c)(3). The charity receives 100%, nothing is taken out of your donation, you pay no fees, and you keep your card's points, miles or cash back.
Smart Generosity is a one-time membership that teaches you to give to any U.S. 501(c)(3) charity by credit card with no fees: nothing is taken out of the donation, nothing is added on top, the charity receives 100%, and you keep your card's points, miles or cash back.
How it works
- Apply, about 3 minutes, once. A short application shows which one-time membership fits your giving. No subscriptions.
- Make one card donation, about 15 minutes, once. Our step-by-step training walks you through giving any amount through a payment brand you already know. A Fortune 500 payments company processes it and covers the card fees. It posts to your card as a regular purchase and earns your normal rewards.
- Grant to your charities, about 3 minutes each. Send your gift on to as many 501(c)(3) charities as you like, now or over time. Each one receives the full amount.
Your money goes straight from you to the payments company and on to your charities. It never passes through us, and we never see your card. We teach the method.

The advantages
- 100% reaches the charity. Nothing is taken out of your donation for card fees.
- No fees for you. You don't have to "cover the fees" to make the charity whole, and there are no ongoing fees for the membership.
- Keep your rewards. Your card earns its everyday rate on money you were already planning to give. Always pay the balance in full.
- Any U.S. 501(c)(3). Large or small, local or national, as many as you like.
- Less paperwork. An official receipt for every gift, all in one place.
- Proven. We built this for our own giving at 5DayDeal and have given more than $3 million since 2014 this way.
- Guaranteed. Follow our steps with our top membership and if a fee is taken out of your first donation, or the charity gets anything less than 100%, you get a full refund.
Your charitable deduction is the same whether you give by cash, check or card, and the points you earn don't reduce it. Ask your tax preparer how much you can deduct.
